Apple Cake Baking
Both of my children are extremely interested in cooking, so I've been keeping an eye out for kid friendly recipes. When I saw this recipe for one bowl apple cake, I knew we had to try it out!

This was the perfect fall baking activity for my excited little cooks. Super easy, and absolutely delicious!

Hiking

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip a couple of hours outside of the city to do some hiking with Jon's family. I love Autumn, and it was really nice to spend the day outside enjoying the beautiful weather and changing leaves.
Elijah's favourite part of the whole experience was getting to see a dam and a lock system at work. He was so inspired that he actually composed an original song about dams, beavers, locks, boats and water. It is aptly named "The Dam Song".

I realized after we got home that most of the pictures I took that day are of Elijah. That's mostly because Isabel suckered these two into swinging her around and giving her rides pretty much all day long:

Christmas Wishes
I think Santa might have a bit of trouble with the twins' Christmas wish list this year. Elijah wants "a bigger house so I have more space to play my trains" and Isabel wants "to go bungee jumping". My kids are so strange!
