Vera McGowan Park, Evanston, IL
Today was the twins' first day of being at school from 9 am until 3:30 pm. Somehow they managed to hop off the bus with tons of energy to spare while I was completely exhausted. We decided to stay close by today and chose this little park tucked away in the residential neighborhood where we pick up our CSA box. This park had the oddest merry-go-round I've ever seen, but the kids absolutely loved it. They also really enjoyed mastering the rock wall. While we were at the park, we ran into an old friend, and then met several new friends including a very gregarious and precocious little girl named Sadie who told me that she wants "to be a star and have lots of lovely parties". Sounds like my kind of girl!
